Practice Manager

Mrs Chrystel Dooley

Chrystel joined the practice in March 2002 and has over 30 years’ experience of working in general practice. She has been a practice manager since 1993, having previously worked as a receptionist, medical secretary and PA. She successfully passed her practice management diploma in 1992 and a masters degree in health and social care management in 2010.

Deputy Practice Manager

Mrs Angie Sellar

Angie has a wealth of experience in health care having worked in the locality office and at the then CCG in various administrative roles. She joined Bassett Road in July 2018 and has supported the practice in a variety of roles including finance, IT, staffing and working with our PPG. She was promoted to the role of deputy practice manager in late 2020 having successfully passed her certificate in general practice management.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
