Patients with a range of eye conditions can ring 0800 316 9200 to seek advice on treatment of:

• Dry eye
• Foreign body in the eye
• Gritty and/or uncomfortable eyes
• In-growing eyelashes
• Irritation and inflammation of the eye
• Recent occurring flashes or floaters
• Recent and sudden loss of vision
• Red eye or eyelids
• Significant recent sticky discharge from one/both eyers
• Watery eye

If the patient needs to be seen they will be directed by the MEC Service to see one of the town’s 3 participating Opticians (Kings, Redferns & Specsavers). Please note, patients are unable to self-refer and must ring the 0800 number to get an appointment.
